Scum Nation is an irreverent and visual site focusing solely on me, Nigel Wingrove, and my thoughts on the world and the UK in particular. It also features examples of my work, my life and the things and people that I like, and those that I don't like or would like to see exterminated. Do my opinions matter? No. Does what I write have any influence on the people that I'm writing about? No. Is my work, in fact, of any relevance at all? No. In fact you could pass this site by and never visit again but, if you did, you would be missing the chance of hopefully having your eyeballs licked and thighs improperly touched.
For in the dark recesses of Scum Nation you will find a whole plethora of visual and literary material covering everything from evil childhood beasties, like Grimly Fiendish and genocidal Martians, to beautiful, blood-drenched vampires and fulsome Nazi she-wolves. Lurking even further in this cyber labyrinth is a treasure trove of Third Reich visual wickedness of a kind usually hidden, its content deemed too dangerous for human consumption. Darker still are my own images and video clips, which take in everything from blasphemy and blood to scenic landscapes and the occasional chihuahua and whatever catches my eye.
All this, plus Billy Bunter, comic culture, film, Scarlet Johannson's breasts, unsettling politics, Enid Blyton, and possibly more breasts.
Scum Nation is a work in progress. I will be adding new imagery and writings every week, the shop too will have new items added for sale constantly and I will looking to make the site genuinely entertaining and vibrant overall so please check bak often. It may also turn into a complete turkey but then if you don't check back you'll never know.;

Two classics of British seventies horror cinema are about to get the Redemption Blu-ray treatment having been remastered from the original materials and with both titles now looking absolutely stunning.
Blood Beast Terror (1968), which stars the legendary Peter Cushing and the gorgeous Vanessa Howard, is a bizarre tale of a scientist who genetically creates a creature that can mutate from a blood eating Death's Head moth back to a beautiful woman with shrug flap of its wings.
Burke and Hare (1972), starring Darren Nesbitt and the lovely Françoise Pascal (The Iron Rose), is based on the infamous Scottish grave-robbers.
Both titles are released on July 17th 2002. Covers previewed here soon.
Redemption's favourite sister label, Jezebel, which specialises primarily in sexploitation and erotic cinema from the 1960's and 1970's is about to release two absolute classic films on DVD, That Kind of Girl (1963) and Permissive (1970).
That Kind of Girl centres on a sexy blond au pair called Eva (Margaret Rose Keil) who is pursued and bedded by a variety of lecherous men until, horror of horrors, she finds that she has contracted a sexual transmitted disease and decides to mend her ways. A great film and a fascinating insight into England and London in the early sixties, when things didn't so much swing, as swayed.
One of Redemption's more indy horror signings last year was the fabulously fast-paced, and gory real-life game turned film, Humans Versus Zombies, in which a group of students try and battle their way to safety in a world rapidly turning into zombiegeddon! With some great scenes, humour and a lead role by TV's bad girl, Madison Burge from hit series Friday Night Lights, HVZ, is well worth checking out. Released initially as a standalone title, Humans Versus Zombies, is available to buy on DVD from us right now!
